We often experience a high demand for our services, particularly in the mornings, and especially on Mondays. We would very much appreciate your assistance in trying to manage this and help to free the telphone lines for other important matters. If you need to order a prescription please try to avoid ringing in the mornings, escpecially on a Monday.

We have a dedicated prescription line (01432 265269) which is available 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 4pm Monday to Friday. You may also wish to consider one of the following alternative ways to order your repeat prescriptions:

1. Order on-line using the link above to online services

2. Complete the right hand side of your prescription and deposit it in the wall mounted prescription box at the surgery.

Please remember to allow 2 working days before collecting your prescription.

Thank you for your assistance.

Local Health Record Network

This practice is a member of the Local Health Record Network provided by Taurus Healthcare Ltd

An Improved Service

Currently your health records cannot be viewed by anyone outside this practice; so if you need to seek medical care when we are not available, the onus is on you to remember all the relevant details. By accessing the Local Health Record Network any other medical professional that you visit will have, with your permission, sight of your medical history to help treat you more effectively.

Patient Consent

You will be asked for your consent on every occasion before your health records are viewed by a medical or authorised care professional. The only exception would be in an emergency when you were unconscious or too unwell to give consent.

Data Security

At this practice we use a secure computer connection to protect your records. Similarly, access to your medical records through the Local Health Record Network would only be possible via a secure connection: your data could only be accessed by authorised staff. Even then, there is an extreme ly high level of encryption applied to any data sent or stored which, essentially, makes any attempt to gain unauthorised access impossible.

Patient Choice

Whilst we believe that the appropriate sharing of your records will improve the quality of healthcare you receive, we also respect the fact that the decision is entirely yours. If, for any reason, you wish to opt out of the Local Health Record Network you may do so by completing an Opt Out Form, available form the surgery. If you are considering opting out, we strongly recommend that you discuss it with us first.
