We often experience a high demand for our services, particularly in the mornings, and especially on Mondays. We would very much appreciate your assistance in trying to manage this and help to free the telphone lines for other important matters. If you need to order a prescription please try to avoid ringing in the mornings, escpecially on a Monday.
We have a dedicated prescription line (01432 265269) which is available 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 4pm Monday to Friday. You may also wish to consider one of the following alternative ways to order your repeat prescriptions:
1. Order on-line using the link above to online services
2. Complete the right hand side of your prescription and deposit it in the wall mounted prescription box at the surgery.

An appeal from Herefordshire GP Practices
Herefordshire GPs are receiving a large number of requests for ‘rescue packs’, containing antibiotics and steroids.
These are important for those with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and Asthma who have regular flare ups of their condition. Access to these drugs enables people with these conditions to treat themselves immediately, often preventing the need for further medical intervention.
However, evidence shows that steroids are unhelpful and possibly harmful in Coronavirus infection. We also know that antibiotics are ineffective against viruses.
In order to ensure that there is a sufficient supply of drugs for people who need them, Herefordshire GPs are asking:

GETTING YOUR MEDICINES
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service. We introduced this service at the end of February 2014. It gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to get your medicines or appliances from.What does this mean for you?If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription. Instead, your GP will send it electronically to the place you choose, saving you time.You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop. You may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as there will be time for your repeat prescriptions to be ready before you arrive.Is this service right for you?Yes, if you have a stable condition and you:don’t want to go to your GP practice every time to collect your repeat prescription.collect your medicines from the same place most of the time or use a prescription collection service now.It may not be if you:don’t get prescriptions very often.pick up your medicines from different places.How can you use EPS?You need to choose a place for your GP practice to electronically send your prescription to. This is called nomination. You can choose:a pharmacy.a dispensing appliance contractor (if you use one).Ask any pharmacy or dispensing appliance contractor that offers EPS or your GP practice to add your nomination for you. You don’t need a computer to do this. Reception staff will also be asking you about your nomination when you order ypur prescription.Can I change my nomination or cancel it and get a paper prescription?Yes you can. If you don’t want your prescription to be sent electronically tell your GP. If you want to change or cancel your nomination speak to any pharmacist or dispensing appliance contractor that offers EPS, or your GP practice. Tell them before your next prescription is due or your prescription may be sent to the wrong place.Is EPS reliable, secure and confidential?Yes. Your electronic prescription will be seen by the same people in GP practices, pharmacies and NHS prescription payment and fraud agencies that see your paper prescription now. Sometimes dispensers may see that you have nominated another dispenser. For example, if you forget who you have nominated and ask them to check or, if you have nominated more than one dispenser. Please note, the practice does not utilise, promote, engage with, or otherwise have any dealings with Pharmacy 2 U, and, furthermore has not given, nor has been asked, for consent for the practice name to appear on any advertising material.

We have a separate number for repeat prescriptions, 01432 265269, which is open from 10.30am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm Monday to Friday.

The practice will process your prescription within 48 hours (2 working days) BUT please check with you local pharmacist about when your medications will be available for collection.
Please check that your prescription is correct before having it dispensed. We cannot accept responsibility for any costs incurred relating to incorrect medicines.
Most pharmacies, if requested, will collect and make up your prescription ready for collection—please ring the pharmacy of your choice and ask them to collect from the surgery for you.
We now offer an online prescriptions & appointments system. You can accesss this service on the link below. To use this service please visit the surgery to register, bringing with you some personal identification (driving licence, passport, utility bill). After accepting the terms and conditions of use you will be provided with a unique user log in and password.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
